Special Edition: Cara Delevingne, Fatboy Slim, and Others Come To Stacks

A new era of NFTs on Bitcoin has arrived! Our very own Risidio just launched a groundbreaking new NFT platform in partnership with legendary music industry artist, Chemical X. Called This Is Number One, the platform will bring one-of-a-kind collaborations with world-famous artists to life as NFTs on Bitcoin via Stacks. The inaugural set will include one-of-one art pieces with Orbital, Fatboy Slim, Dave Stewart, & Cara Delevingne. Plans for future sets that could include the likes of Deadmau5 and other artists Chemical X regularly collaborates with are also underway.

One of the underlying purposes of the collaboration is to encourage creatives to harness the power of NFTs and crypto to monetize their work. In addition, Risidio gives artists the ability to split royalties directly to the charity of their choice. For example, proceeds from, actress, model, and philanthropist Cara Delevingne's collaboration with Chemical X will go to her charity, the Cara Delevingne Foundation, supporting women’s rights, the LGBTQ community, mental health, & environmental causes.

Chemical X lauded the advantages of minting NFTs on Stacks and Bitcoin,

“Stacks bootstraps Bitcoin’s blockchain to essentially recycle the electricity used to mine Bitcoin, so, minting #1’s on Bitcoin is much like fashioning jewellery from gold that’s already been mined; the gold retains its intrinsic value, but the artistry adds a new purpose and aesthetic".

This Is Number One allows artists to use Bitcoin as a tool to design curated artistic experiences ranging across digital art, music, and multimedia. By using Stacks to mint their NFT’s, artists and purchasers have the comfort of knowing their artwork and is protected by Bitcoin, the most battle-tested and valuable blockchain available. It also means additional demands for energy to mint NFTs are negligible as Stacks recycles electricity already spent to secure Bitcoin. The cost of minting and buying/selling the NFTs is also reduced from the current Ethereum costs of tens to hundreds of dollars to less than 1/10 of a cent.

This Is Number One is donating a guaranteed minimum of 10% of all proceeds as well as royalties from subsequent sales to charities and/or causes of each artists’ choice.
